how do you use the color cup of an airbrush when its bottom feed? cause what happens is when I spray horizon position the cup is tilted and only able to suck in half of the paint in the cup.. does that imean all my painting would have to be done vertically which would make the position of the cup horzontal were all the paint will be able to be suck?

what kind of ab are you using? if your using a 150 like i do, try flipping your color cup under your ab, also harder to spill paint on your models :-)
also make sure you have enought paint in it
Frank

p.s, i hope i understood what you were saying because iam not to sure lol

I"ve used the badger 175 Cresendo and its a gravity feed that comes with a color cup that mounts to the airbrush.. and since it didn't have a lid I was always afraid of spilling paint out onto my work... so basicly I never really used it except for very small projects..

I found to use all the paint I kept having to tilt the airbrush so that the paint would be pulled into the airbrush.. a real pain...

I used the badger Fast blast cap for tamiya' paints.. and since my main paints were model master enamals. I tore apart one of the standard siphon feed caps for a tamiya bottle.. (all the hobby store sold) and mounted it into a model master cap.. I still use it even though i've since got a siphon feed cap that fits the model master bottles from Micro mark...

I own the " 175 Cresendo", there is only one way where I can position the color cup, is the opening of the cup being parrallel to the tip of the needle, in this case, the cup would be tilted and I will never be able to use up all the paint.

As of right now, Im using those regular 3/4 oz jars to do my detail brushing, which result me in making more paint then I really needed.

yea thats the main problem with the 175.. I hated the color cup..

here is a link to my website...showing what I did for small jobs..

Basicly I took a Aztek 2.5 cc color cup and converted it to a siphon feed...

I still use it. sometimes with my 360 and it works well.

Makeing a 2.5cc siphon feed color cup for a Badger Airbrush

hope it helps.
