First this is straight out of the box, a test build I guess for the AGE2 ... this is my forth model since picking the hobby back up this past summer after about a 25-30 year break. This is also all brush painted with the exception of a dullcoat, as I have not got my airbrush hooked up yet as I have to run pipe and put in regulators etc etc. from the main compressor in the shop.
So now before you folks go slamming on this thing let me say this ... the YELLOW dust is not that YELLOW in person it's more of a medium tan and not bee pollen. All I can figure out is it must have been the film in my digital camera. :-) (Really I think it was the lights, and I used Revels.)
Now this is not 100% complete the driver is still being re-worked and re-worked and re-worked and there are a few touched to do on the model itself. I little more weathering and some rust on the bottom some more wear in areas. You know the stuff to make it looked used.

So without futher ado lets see this thing ...

Well there it is, not yet complete in my book, but it is going to have to wait as I need to find somethingf to build for the AGE2 ... and get started on that.

Go easy on me ...
Dave

EDIT
PS.. this is a Tamiya Willis MB not a M151 and it went together sweet, everything fit very well. I couldn't change the title after posting ... old age strikes again.

I think you have done a great job on your jeep! The dust is a little on the bright side, but hey, I dont know where the jeep has been. I like the wear and tare detailing, spot on!

Cheers,

Garry

Yeah I know the dust looks light in the photos but it's actually a little darker than it looks .... I was going for that fine dust build up you get in the heat of summer. I still have a little tweaking to do on it.

Looks good, but it is not a M151, it is either a Willys or Ford MB43 WWII jeep. The M151 was a Vietnam era Jeep known as the MUTT. A totally diferent vehicle. It is a good looking jeep though.

You are correct sir I was thinking M151 when I typed this up as I had a model of one on my desk when I made this post. The model is a Willis MB. I had a slight case of brain farts there. I'm thinking of building a M151 for the AGE2 ... blame it all on old age.
