Guys & gals,
Jim is giving us the opportunity to name our community forum (see the topic in Site Talk). Lets put our heads together and come up with something Seffrican...
My suggestion No. 1: "The Boerewors Curtain"
Hopefully I'll have some more soon...

What about "The Braai place." ?
since braaiing is such a norm for us for any social event, and is often were the best conversations take place (and best meals are made!)
my two cents anyway,
Happy New Year mense!,

The Springbok Club?
Given the sorry state of our cricket I won't suggest the Protea Club... :-) :-) :-) and it sounds kinda woossie...
I guess it's up to us 3 regulars to decide...

Springbok club sounds good, not a rugby fan myself though.
There is a club in stellenbosch called "The Springbok" me thinks.
Sounds good, lets do this rename, it will sure beat "Community Forum: South Africa" . hands down!
Protea club will make us sound like some old ladies who are fond of pretty little flowers........
As for da cricket, if they would just let me pick the team then there would be no problems
Thanks for waiting for my opinion,
Erik

Hallo weer,
I think that the Springbok Forum is a very good idea. Our troops in WWII were also called Springboks, and it is the one word that seems to be uniqely South African and at the same time recognizable all over the world.
Noting the state of affairs with the Proteas and the dismal showing against the "Bleekbene", I will support the Bok.

I went ahead and made it The Springbok Club so I hope that is okay.
So now the only thing is....we could use a moderator that is actually IN South Africa.
Since people always ask moderator duties are pretty straightforward. Look out for the best interests of the site. Moderate (edit) topics where needed and be helpful to all members.
Thanks,
Jim
