Hi, I'm thinking of ordering the Fonderie Miniatures 1/48 Halifax. But I've haven't heard of this minufaturer before. I've visited there website, they've got some neat stuff. But my question is has anyone had any experiances with Fonderie Miniatures ?? And what were those experiances ??
Thanks. (:-) (:-) (:-)

I haven't actually made any of their stuff myself; but they are a 'limited run' manufacturer,so don't expect the kit to fall together like Hasegawa or Tamiya - there will be a lot of work to do.They do have a fair reputation for quality so should be a good workable model.

Fonderie Miniature is a french plastic model manufacturer, his kits are a combination of injected plastic, resin and metal parts. Some kits are recommended for experienced modellers. There are many rare models such as the Sikorsky R5/HO3 S-1, the Piasecki H-21 Shawnee "Flying Banana", Lockheed PV-1Ventura in 1:48 scale.
Here are some FM kit reviews :
Sikorsky R5/HO3 S-1
Piasecki H.21 Shawnee
Lockheed PV-1 Ventura

Having read many reviews on this manufacture, I can warn you that they are NOT Tamyia, or Hasagawa shake and bakes. And as all limited/short run kits require extra work in cleaning up and fitting parts, these do also.
