OK, I'm having some problems with finishing this gun. There are few parts, that have remained unpainted, cause they are not mentioned in Tamiya's painting guide. First of all:

- how should I finish the ammo for 88? I think that the shell (lower part of the shot) should be painted brass, but I'm not 100% sure. Can anyone verify this? The tip of ammo remains questionmark too. I couldn't find any material that could help me with this - what colour did the head of 88's AP-round have?

- the second problem goes with the ammocases.. or the Round containers. What material were they made of IRL? I think it's wood, being cheap and easy, but I'm not sure with this one either.. so any help with this is more than welcome.

I know these are small problems, but I'd like to make my model as real as possible. Thank you!

Cheers, Marko N.

Here look at this http://www.cloudster.com/RealHardware/88mmFlak/88mmFlakTop.htm Their are two pages of photos here with first one regular color and second one camo. Welcome Aboard you have found the right place for help.

Maybe a little better site more clean and new weapon
http://www.achtungpanzer.com/88mm.htm

You know you look at that weapon and want to cry such a state of neglect needs some paint and a building to protect it from the weather history falling away here.

Thanks a lot José and Jeff, both links helped me out of my problem. As I used to be in artillery in army, I had some clues, but I just wanted to be sure. This solved out a lot!
Thanks once more, see you around.

I believe the rounds were brass with field gray tips, but really am not sure.
Anyhow, thats a really fun kit, comes together nicely.
