Hi,
I'm building a horch and when i went shopping in my favo modelshop, I searched for stuff to add some "life" to the horch and i was thinking of weapons, drums and other parts. The weapons I already had and I bought then the Tamiya fuel durm set.
Well i wanted only 2 jerrycans and one big drum.
when i was putting the jerrycans together I noticed that you need to put the lock (or how you call it ?) for the jerrycan in a hole. Well there is no hole made for it, so tamiya forgot to make a hole :-(
I don't know what to do :-(
Hard to make a very small hole in at the right place

Davy, the Tamiya Jerry can set has no hole for the spout, it is meant to be cemented in place only as this sets it at the correct height.

The Tamyia Fuel drum set is not as good, in my opinion as the Italari.
The Tamyia jerry can handles are missing a center rail. There should be 3.
This can be easly corrected with a bit of streached sprue tho. Just glue on and sand so it is flush with the rest.

Selrach, the new Tamiya set does not have a middle rail missing, it's actually one of the most accurate out there. You must have the very old Tamiya set. I'd suggest junking it and getting the new one.

How do you know when you are buying one which one you will get? Are they the same kit and one is just reissued? I would like to get some stuff like that in bulk before I leave Japan since they are very very cheap here. Just wondered how i can tell??

Just look for the higher catalogue number. The old set is 35026, the new set is 35186. The newer set also includes hand pumps.

Yep, I guess I have the old one.
Good to know that it has been updated and corrected. Thanks for the heads up.

Michigan Toy Soldier has the full Armand Bayardi lline of resin accessories. This includes some great dented 55 gallon drums and new, dented and crushed gerry cans in both US and German styles.
