Staff_Jim, Oh mighty leader of the 6000!
I have been attempting to upload a host of Pictures of Creighton Abrams "ThunderboltVII" M4a3e8, but at each attempt This message pops up:

Error creating thumbnail! Error code: 1

Command:

"/usr/bin/mogrify" -size 175x82 -quality 70 -geometry 175x82 '/home/armorama/public_htmlhttp://photos.kitmaker.net/data/13903/4328Sel2-thumb.jpg'

I've seen the other posts of late in which you recommended deleting cookies & using the 'Cookie Kill', and have followed this advice. No Joy. Any hope for me?

Howdy Robert,

Buddy, if you can tell me where to go to access your pics, I will try to post them for you for the time being........
I checked the folder in your Gallery and there's nothing there.....so just tell me where to go.

Tread.

I'm experiencing problems also.

I am trying to upload pics for "Models on Display" for the first time.

I have logged in to the Support Center, gone to the submission area and once I link to my zipped pic file, there is about a 5 minute wait and I get a site not found screen. During the wait -- Opening Page http://support.armorama.com/cgi-bin/pdesk.cgi is showing on the bottom of my screen.

I've tried three different times today with the same results.

Any help would sure be appreciated.

Tread, I would think that at this point in your life you'dve had it up to here with people "Telling you Where to Go"!! :-)

Sorry, Gordo, ya left me wide open there...
At any rate, unless you can access my work PC remotely, there's not much we can do at this point. I've just uplaoded them to the PC, & was getting them ready for a walkaround- Then this popped up. I could try emailing them to you, But there's about 30 of 'em & the're all B-I-I-I-G.
Thanks for the offer, Hombre!

Just tried to submit pics for the Models on Display for the fourth time today -- no luck, same problem.

Is there a limit on the Zip file size that can be submitted? Maybe "size" is a problem in this case.

Steve,
How large is the zip file you are trying to upload? There may be a maximum size limit but I know I uploaded a 4mb file recently and that worked.

Error code "1" OR "127"?

I can find an online reference for 127 and it's a server file location issue. Still why is this only an error for you and not for others.

Well, Jim, I just copied & pasted what was on the screen. I've got to log off now, but I'll try again tomorrow & let you know the score...
Thanks for Checking!

Jim, the zip file has 16 pictures, total file size 7,427KB. I will delete some pics and reduce the file size to see if that will help.

Steve,
Well it sounds like you are experiencing more of a "time-out" issue with your browser, but it won't work in any case as I just tried to upload a similar size file and got:

Armorama Support Center: Error

Sorry, the file you are attempting to upload is above the specified file size limit

So....you can upload via FTP if you want. There is anonymous ftp "incoming" folder at:
ftp://ftp.armorama.com login as "anonymous" no password.

Just reference the file you uploaded in the submission ticket.

Cheers,
Jim

Jim, I pared the Zip file size down to 4.1 and it went. Basically had to drop down to nine pics.

Steve,
Your issue is pretty typical now that nicer digital cameras are emergine. I have given this a lot of thought and people really need to learn how to locally (on their pc) crunch these image down to more managible sizes. For example my camera can shoot a 15mb uncompressed TIF. Imagine trying to upload 100 of those. hehe

Try the FTP route....it's not hard to do that at all.

Jim
