Guten Morgen!

To any German speaking members who may have a bit of daily spare time on their hands, and can speak English well, I could use some help.

First, a little history. My great Grandparents immigrated from Germany back in the late 1800's. I have always had a fondness for the Fatherland and especially the language. When I was in High School, I took 3 years of German but sadly, I didn't apply myself as I should have. Plus much of what I learned, I forgot. Use it or lose it as the saying goes. I still remember most of my verbs and verb forms though, some sentences and alot of words. Of course I remember the alphabet and all of my numbers (counting) to infinity! I also have a pretty good base on alot of basic words.
Now, I want to apply myself and learn better. I have visited quite a few online courses and some are OK, but I found when we had exchange students come over from Germany, alot of what was being taght to us was very formal.
So I figure, my best bet would be to work a bit each day or so (not very much time) with someone who would be willing to help me out so that I can develop a better grasp of the language. Why? Just something I regret not following through with and it is a cool language!!
If you can help, PM me and maybe we can set something up to communicate through PM or something.

Danke!

Check out this website: http://german.about.com/. It might help refresh but I agree that conversation would be the best. Instant messaging might work as well.

Iowa should have some good German resources but I'm sure they are spread out a little.

2 years of high school German and I regret that I didn't improve on it during the year and half that I spent in Germany.

Haben eine schwein,
