No updates yet. I guess we can set something in stone the last week of April.
Wow, that is going to be a busy week for me. Starting that Saturday, I have drill weekend. Then my son and his mother flies in on Sunday (hopefully) so he can stay with me for the summer. Then on the 19th, Star Wars Episode III starts. Then its scalefest weekend.

Just read the questions..The scale fest is on May 21 (ARmed Forces Day) It is held at the Mesquite Rodeo center. Best way in is along I-820. There are plenty of signs telling you where to exit (for the Rodeo center)as I don't know the actual name of the street the exit is on. I do know that it is south of the I-30 intersection. I think doors open at 10 and show usually closes up around 5. Squadron Shop opens its doors to visitors on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

If anybody around Plano wants something to practice weathering on then they can have this:

This is the last bit of evidence that I ever dabbled on the dark side. Motorized King Tiger build without the motor bits. As you can tell by the silver decals, there is no gloss coat and there is no flat coat either. It could be reworked if desired since I pulled a noob and left on the molded in tow cable on the other side. Plus the periscopes are empty. I might have a brass cupola mg laying around as well.

Paul:
Looks like a build with a lot of potential for a yougster to rework. My nephew lives up in Plano, problem is I can't get him interested. I given him some built models to play with, bought him some kits, and even given him a dislay quality built kit. To no avail. You know there is a show in Arlingtoon on September 10. Why not bring it down to that, we're going to try to beat the dutch folks out of their number 1 raning for most Armorama guys to show up at an event (have to have photgraphic evidence)

9/10 is the next show? Damn! Well, I won't be able to be there as that's the second (and last) day of our hockey tryouts with the draft going off right after. Have to be there for that so I doubt I'd be able to make it to Arlington until late afternoon at earliest (3-4PM) and that would be too late.

Have to try to catch the next one, when is the next one in the area by the way?

Arlington show should be same place. Hopefully Keith will be there again as a vendor so we will have armorama central. It's a month away still, but we need to get everyone woken up, rock -n-roll ready to go ! Does anybody have the sills necessary to make a 3 foot long "bnner" that will say Armorama HQ with the symbol? We could use that at Keith's table
