Hmm, I know that the Special Non combatant SS troops, the ones that were high ranked officers and served for hitlers actual body gaurd wore all black uniforms. with a red armband that has a swastika. I am not sure if they painted their vehicles black though.

As best as I can remember, the german vehicles were painted dark gray. The tigers look a little odd since they are converted T-34s. It's a good movie, just don't try to use it for any sort of accurate WW2 reference.

I've got the DVD. The sie of the Tiger could be called to question as well. I felt it was too narrow.
But then again. It's a movie. There is a section for movies here BTW.

Silantra -
Great movie though the "accuracies" are stretched. Someone in a previous thread had mentioned something about the Tigers being based more on the Porsche version? As to the figures, you're right "Sticky". Jaguar has set #63132 (Kelly & the Entrepreneurs) which shows Kelly, Oddball etc in scene when they do the western routine, walking out to the Tiger. The other set I know of is Jaguars #63234 (Oddball's Tank Crew) which would be perfect for Shermierules next "Heroes" Sherman. Think I'll pull that DVD out over Holidays, not Christmas but hopefully it will keep them "negative waves" away. Enjoy,

This is indeed one of my favorite movies of all time. Let's not forget Caroll O'connor as General Colt!
