Like many others, I started building scale models back in my teens and lost interest with them as time went on. While looking for hobbies to help pass time and help relive stress I came back. So far I have put two kits together and I'm in the middle of a diaroma which is going great. I'm glad I found this site, it has tons of information.
I live in Anchorage, Alaska and have been for the past eight years. Came up here at 18 and never left. I'm married with no kids but plenty of pets.
I am a Police Officer and have been for about five years now. My wife is AGR with the Army here at Ft. Richardson. I am orginally from NY but call VA my second home.
Again a big

Welcome That-Guy, not only to the best site on the web, but also back to the hobby.
We are forming a new campaign right now, designed just for you, Age2, located under the campaign button on the upper left. For those under 18, and for those just returning to the hobby. You may be interested in joining up, you get to meet a great bunch of guys, all willing to help and answer you questions.

Welcome aboard That Guy. You're aren't Marlo Thomas' brother are you? (Anyone who gets that is showing their age) Stick around. You will learn an awful lot and you probably have things to teach us as well.

Again, Welcome.

Thanks for the welcome! A lot of the topics on this site have answered most of my questions and have made me look at expanding my base.
I am pretty much open to anything military related. I prefer aircraft sticking to planes. Several bad experinces with helos and armor shy me away. I have though started a diaroma involving armor. I have learned not to rush the project and maybe thats what I needed to know when I was younger.
I try to stay active and play team sports in leagues, cross crountry ski, some hiking, and fishing. As I type it's 10 degrees outside, thats why modeling is great!

Howdy That-Guy, from that-state, way up north in that-direction, where the temperature can get that-cold at night!!

It's good to hear that-you decided to join all of us here at Armorama. As you can tell already from some of the responses that-you are getting from the membership, we are a mighty friendly crowd around here.

So pull up a chair, and hang up your hat a while. You'll enjoy your stay, of that-I am sure.
Just one word of caution though, time spent here can that-contagious!

warm regards,

That-TreadHead fella.

Hey "That Guy"

Welcome to Armorama. I'm just down the block in Washington, spent some great time in Juneau and some not so great time in Shemya. Love that great outdoors country. I'm sure you'll find much enjoyment here as this is a terrific modeling "family" to be associated with. A truly outstanding place to learn, gain experience, and develop your modeling skills as well as the greatest place to share ideas and feedback on the hobby. Why not take that Armor diorama you've got going and get into one of the Campaigns going on? I'm basically an "older guy" returning to hobby after several lean years and enjoy armor and dioramas. Glad to have you here!
