Pierre (Piwi) wrote this feature which is on his web site. It is a great tip for scratch builders and a great way to build your own tools. He gave us permission to post a version of it here.

There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers.

Unfortunatly I don't have a stupid or non stupid answer for you....I don't see why round metal stock wouldn't work, but the only drawback I could see, is the thinner you go, the more frail the metal stock would be, as most that thin is usually aluminum, at least in my hobby shop.....but it is a good idea and worth a try, guess it would depend on the thickness of the styrene you are using for whatever it is your are punching out.

Only thing is....metal stock would be cheaper than buying a box of rivets when you only need one of each size!! Worth a shot!!.

I have to get off my butt and make one of these!!!!!!
