hi all

I recieved this morning a new copy of the classic comic strip "Charleys war" this will be remembered from the old comic Battle released in the UK many years ago.

Those of us who remeber it, remember with pride being able to read the expolites of Charley bourne during the first world war and the beginning of the second, these are memorys of my youth.

The release by titan books is a hard back version containing nearly the first 6 months of the comic strip. This is a finely scripted and drawn comic and a must to the ww1 and ww2 enthusiast.

Please support this release by purchasing a copy so that the rest of the collection can be released.

here are the links to the book on amazon:-

blimey!! showing my age now but i used to buy Battle religiously, just because of Charley's War! it was the best drawn and best written comic strip of its time, and i'm sure still holds its own today.it's good to see that titan have started reissuing it in collected form, but as you say what guarantee do we have that they'll reprint the rest?? will they go as far as charley re enlisting for WW2?

from what i can gather the republishing of the rest of the charleys war series will depend upon the sale of the books,

The series is currently being republished in a 2000AD monthly and seem to be quite popular, hopefully meaning that titan feel they can make some money from the publishing of the books.

The book is in hardback format and states that book 2 will be available in 2005!!

cheers
