Quick question, sirs...Once a photo that has been used in a posted review that is in my gallery, can it be deleted from my gallery and still appear in the review? I need some space in my gallery to upload more photo's for a recent review, but I don't want to delete a pic and have it disappear in the past reviews. I am planning on expanding my gallery space soon, but not as of yet...

Once deleted from your gallery, the photo is gone for good and from everywhere, sionce , technically, you're linking to it in a post. What will be left is the dreaded boxed red X.

IF the editor did his work correctly than the image in the review should be a duplicate and stored elsewhere in the galler. However this is not always the case. If you need to delete some I would just check your reviews to see if this is the case.

Cheers,
Jim

It would appear that they did NOT do this.

If you want to free up the space let me see what I can do about getting the photos updated in the database so they are not tied to you.

It may take a day or two though.

Thank you, Jim, I would really appreciate it, sir.
That would really help until I can expand my gallery space.

Hey, Animal...
Thanks for the generous offer, sir, but everything's under control for right now...I deleted some old stuff and made enough room until I can get my gallery expanded...Take care and God Bless!

Jim...
Do you know as of yet if the review photo's that are in my gallery have been duplicated on the gallery elsewhere so they are still not tied to mine? I didn't try to delete any yet, but I may need to soon...

Mark,
I activated your silver A-Guard membership so you should have plenty of room. If you can please email me about migrating those photos. Otherwise I tend to forget these tasks in the interim period when I am not at home where I can do them.

Thanks,
Jim

liberator,
Much of your work (very nice btw) would qualify for display in the gallery as featured (non-member gallery) items and OnDisplay features. I would recommend you try submitting them to our support center and that way they will be added by staff and not count against your individual download space.

To submit: http://support.armorama.com

The other option is to join the A-Guard and get 25 or 75mb of gallery space.

Thanks,
Jim

Hey Liberator...
Let me pipe in here and give you my two cents...Personally, The A-Guard membership is the definate way to go, Bro...You not only get a huge gallery space, but there are alot of other benefits that go along with the membership, with most importantly, helping to support this website....Which I must say is the best thing that us as modelers have got going for us..

Lib,
For info on the A-Guard just click Gunny's silver "A" patch up above next to his rank insignia.

As for zipping, it's actually built into Windows XP now. Otherwise you would need a program that can compress and save files into one zipped file.

Cheers,
Jim
