Hi

I'm visiting London over December and I'm wondering if anyone can mention some interesting museums/shops/places to visit while I'm there.

So far I'm planning to visit the following:
IWM London,
IWM Duxford,
HMS Belfast,
Bovington,
RAF Hendon,
Hannants,
Science Museum and
Greenwich

Can anyone suggest anything that I might have missed that would be worthwhile to visit.

Thanks
Ed

I don't know if it's still there but the "Cabinet war rooms" are worth a visit. You should visit the Science museum. It has a lot of military related items.

The de Havilland Mosquito museum at London Colney is worth a visit. If you get there on a quiet day they sometimes let you into the aeroplanes!! It is one of my favorite places to visit. I got into the prototype Mossie and the bomber they have displayed.

The Tower of London is a must see, while you are there have look at Tower bridge I used to be a tourist guide on it then a short walk to H.M.S. Belfast thats a interesting tour bit of luck there may be a forgein warship in port paying a curtesy call, couple of years ago i was lucky to see the standing force channel go along the river, all fast motor torpedoe boats serious stuff. enough of my ramblings enjoy your trip and stay away from the tourist pubs you will need a mortgage
