Let's have the first Show-and-Tell this May. Now all we need to do is to choose a time and venue.

I propose that we have in Mid Valley Starbucks / Dome on the Sunday of 15 or 29 May 2005. 22 May 2005 is a bad weekend as it is a public holiday. Any suggestions?

Hi all,

I would prefer 22May. Venue either 1U or MidValley would be fine, but preferably before 12pm. It's a nightmare trying to get parking after 12.

22 may is a bad idea to go to Midvalley... parking for sure like hell ... sudah selalu kena maa...

what about meeting in ampang park or somewhere near to Hobby HQ (not KLCC please!!!)

maybe some of the tauke here could fork out some money to buy us drink in DELUXE KTV...hahaha that is the biggest KTV in KL ... 3rd floor ampang park...

ok seriuosly what if we meet in Ampang Park on 22 May??

midvalley or 1 utama on a sunday sounds good, plenty of place to lepak2.. but, as agrillion mentioned, have to get there before 12pm, or trafik jem.

ampang park less traffic, quieter place but not many spots to go lepak for teh tarik (as far as i know)? is hobby hq open on sunday?

how about around ampang point? i'm not familiar with the area but there must be plenty of restoran mamak for teh tarik. then perhaps can go to unicorn hobby.

yo Jimbo...

ampang point sound interesting....but there're no hobby store there....hehe

as far as unicorn is concern, there are lots of mamak stall around them in bandar baru ampang... but unicorn is no fun to visit .. my last visit last week seems bore... there are no new stock as new said because they're concentrate on they next project which is decal and some other local stuff...

but teh tarik in ampang point still sound cool...

btw, i dont know HobbyHq open on sunday because last week i went there on sunday at 6.30 pm they're closed..i thought they;re just closed ..... hmm... i sempat intai dalam kedai..there are so many kits there compare to my last visit in 2002........ eager to be in HQ.... if they close on sunday then we have to reschedule to saturday...

amacam??

Hobby HQ sometimes close on Sundays but not on Saturdays. I suggested Mid Valley earlier because we can visit MH later. Plus there are more "affordable" spots for us the hang around. If we can meet late morning at Mid Valley either SAT and SUN, the parking should be OK.

But I must warn everyone that the weekend of 21 May 2005 is a Star Wars weekend. Expect the crowd where ever there is cinema. Week ending 28 May 2005 is the beginning of school holidays. More crowd again! Now that leave us to 15 May 2005. Any takes for 15?

Target J, for both of us The Curve is the best spot but we have to cater for the other fellow modellers. KL is the spot. Now, I would prefer meeting in the late morning to avoid parking headaches.

Agree with MoJimbo. Need someplace that is quiet. Since this is a Show-and-Tell session, we don't want to be in crowded places where our showpieces get 'injured.' Mid Valley Starbucks or Dome are rather quiet in the late mornings, and you get tables to show-off the models. Plus you have air-cond for these days nasty weather.

We can meet in City Square's Food Court down in the basement but it has to be a Saturday. Any problems...?

Gentlemen & Lady (if Mislmd is still around),

I have to say it has been a long road since I first proposed this meet up. The truth is we will never be able to get everyone at one go so as long as we get about 5 of us it should be pretty good. I'm okay on most Saturdays irrespective of the date.

Once the date is set maybe I can drag Floogen along. Boss why don't you pop by my place and we'll go by LRT at Kelana.

The Show and Tell session will be organized for 21 May 2005 SAT 1200hr at City Square's Food Court. Please bring at least one complete or incomplete model for the session. We will take some photos and then go up to Hobby HQ.

Hope everyone can come.

We maintain the session for 21 May 2005. If there aren't five of us available for the session, then we will postpone.

At this moment, I would suggest that our monthly 'Show-and-Tell' session to be held on the 3rd Sat of the month. Maybe same time, same place. Malaysian Armorama members will take turns organizing these sessions.

Sil, you must come. You are the boss. We want you to come with your King Tiger.

Val, since it is a long weekend, are u thinking of visiting someone in KL. If you are, why not include us in your 'someone' list.

Unable to come to the meeting I will not be. (Star Wars fever has struck!)

As that weekend is really at 'hujung bulan' and that I was in Johor and KL during the first week of May.....and I'm quite kopak this month...count me out guys...if only the meeting was during the first week of May! (Dang...I hate staying this far from where the action really are!)
