Well, apart from Joe (Greatbrit) and Ian (Ian Sadler) who I have met before, I managed to meet Shaun (Winchweight), who unfortunately couldn't stay long. Nice to have met you Shaun, I'm planning on offering my services to the local Air Cadets, would there be any chance of a "cabby" via those channels :-) I also met John Snyder (dign25) of White Ensign Models. Nice to have met you John, you certainly looked the part, as did all the clan there, in the naval uniforms. Thanks for your time, I'm looking forward to more news on the other catapults you have planned
I have some good news about a discussion I had with the President of IPMS UK, I'll let you know more when I have ran it by Jim. I'll just say if, what I approached him about comes off, then there will be no problems about meeting next year and subsequent years.
For those that I didn't meet, my apologies. I did try and get a tannoy message out but the system had packed up and, particularly those on stands like Howard (Aitch) and possibly Luciano (Littorio) I spent most of my time trying to get pics. I only managed to buy 4 items and that was in the last hour.
I hope that those that did make it had a good time. Start planning models for next year, cos they may be needed

The ATC is always a good way of getting a flight. Give us a call and I'll see what I can do. Nice to have met you all, sorry it was a flying visit (hospital visit to do).

hi Mal,

I got there too late to meet up. Traffic on m6 delayed me.
Parking was very limited too - I think I must have got the last slot (at 12:30). Going to set off a lot earlier next year .

I did chat to Ian Sadler who showed me some of the new armour builds he is doing using foil parts.

wow - great show. I could not resist buying 7 kits and loads of tools & paint etc. Mal - I now got some tyre black paint.

Shame I did not meet up with you all this time but I will be there next year.

Further to my last, it was great to meet you all. Here are a few pictures from the show.

The last Rotordyne was fully motorised!!

What was the stand opposite the MAFVA stand, next to Accurate Armour, selling diorama stuff and excellent building at low prices? I ran out of time before I could get a proper look.

Hi all , I was very pleased to be able to put names to the titles used on the forum . I am pleased that a few of us were able to meet and talk at the show . I was very busy nearly all the time catching up with old friends and making new ones .
Had some good responces to me next demmo on the humble plastic pen and what it can be turned into . I will by the time Huddersfield show comes round in Feb have new fully worked up display cases showing some of the items . Grest to meet up and chat cheers ian

Shaun, Great North Roads don't have their own website. If you see anything you want then e-mail Simon at the address given on Total Models.

hi all ! my first ipms nationals! was absolutly amazing, we were there from about 11 til 3 and it felt like five minutes. i only spent about £200, new compressor, 2 dalek kits and various paints, the compressor had a tenner off for the show and the guy had one without its box that he knocked another tenner off( forgot the name but it was the guys next to edinburgh models)the daleks were 1 for £20 or 2 for £30, i have now experienced "show fever" the only downside is that i missed any of you guys that were there,
