This weekend I plan to do some groundwork for a Tiger I'm working on.
I plan to use some static grass, for the first time.
Question is. After I have applied the sg, do I paint it with AB or do I merely drybrush it, with various green colors?

Jesper,
You can do both.
I tend to airbrush the grass because it is either the wrong color green or the color of grass is to bright or dark. Then I dry brush it various greens, tans, and yellows.

Try Woodland Scenics static grass flock. It comes in a big salt shaker type bottle. It will last you for years.

I bought the Verlinden static grass. It came in a small bag. Haven't tried it yet, so I don't know how far it will go.

Static grass lasts for ages if you are careful, i use an old box to place the base in and then sprinkle over the static grass onto the bacse one glue has been applied. then i shake and blow off the excess into the box then collect the excess for use again.
I always airbrush the grass and then dry brush with yellow oil paint for spring/ summer grass and a brown colour oil paint for fall/ winter grass, the oils seem to work better than normal model paint
cheers
