i have just spent 10 minutes searching for a small part i dropped, in getting off the wheeled office chair i use i carefully pushed it away with my backside, after ten minutes fruitless searching i turned around to see it on the chair when i would have sworn it went on the floor, just thought you all ought to be warned about this new development in the war against gremlins

The nastiest trick these little green monsters have thought of is the one where they put the dropped photoetched part (which yo've spent 30 minutes delicately foldng into 'just' the right shape') right under the wheel of your chair so when you roll back to see if you can see where it's gone, you immediately flatten it. Dirty rotten little mutants!

:-) that happens to me too! i have a dark blue carpet in my kitchen! and guaranteed to part i drop will be black or dark green plastic !
i know for sure that when something hits the floor at the correct angle and velocity it opens a gateway in another dimension and there on this other side or the universe is a small pile of plastic parts i have dropped :-) and a crowed of small beings gethering around it poking it curiously! :-) o.k. maybe not but they have to go somewhere? right?

i was staring at the floor so as not to run it over with the chair, it is a dashboard with moulded on dials that would be impossible to replace

I usually find missing parts when I clear up after a modelling session - after I've made a replacement or searched one out of the spares box.

Last night I was attaching a hatch on my M113 fitter for the campaign when I dropped the little ring the hatch axel sits in. I swept the floor .... timber floors are every bit as bad.... and couldnt find it. I checked my spare parts box and nothing was suitable. Then I made one similar from plastic card. All of this, took about 40 minutes.
I glued the hatch in an open position and looking at it I was happy enough. Just as I was admiring my handywork, I spotted the little ring. It didnt fall on the floor. It clung to my tracksuit trousers on the inside of my leg. Lucky no gremlins ... or any other other family members were present. Colourful language was used to its extreme for the next 10 minutes!

Perhaps this is an old trick, but I once lost a decal in the kitchen and found it in the livingroom I hate when they gremblins do that. I loose something here and it appears 2 hours later somewhere else.

And then at work you don't know why everybody's laughing until you look at the back of your shirt, and POOF, there's your missing socks :-) :-)

errr...sounds like when a one dollar bill falls in the toilet of a public restroom. You can't pick it up, it isn't worth it to get your hand in there for a dollar. So what you do is to throw a one hundred dollars bill, then it is worth it...... :-)

erm...i have a few unfinished kits but get this.... i have all the parts !

now my above method doesn't always work but it does give an idea of the trajectory of this missing part as well as possible landing zones...so your probability of finding the missing part increases !

and if all 3 are gone! then GOD BLESS! LOL :-) :-)
