Hi all
When i was back in the Uk in Sept i watched a programme called "THE STAR SPANGLED DRAGON"
It was a docomentary which centerd around an americn women who father served in the civil war she was conceived when he was nearly 70 and the family originated from wales,it also covered the involvement of the welsh in us history i,e Thomas Jeffersons wife being welsh ,i think it was the seige of Richmond where they dug a tunnel under the defences and blew them up it turned ouy that the were prodominantly welsh miners etc realy was a great programme i now iam welsh but the historical aspects were fascinating
and what a good old boy he was at 70 years of age..lol lol,my dad taped it and he is going to send me a copy done so that it can be played here in the us.

yes it was the siege of richmond/battle of St. Petersburg where they dug the tunnel and made a big boom, this programme sounds very interesting...i've never heard of it though.
