Friends,

I want to have something tested, but can't do this myself because of the configuration of my PC.

I need somebody to run the Eagle Modeling Tool Straight from the internet and see if it works. The program itself is only 80Kb.

IMPORTANT: I need someone who has NOT installed the previous Eagle modeling tool.

If you haven't had the previous tool installed and you are willing to help me, please clik the link below. When the system asks wether you want to save or open (or run) the program, just choose open (run).

IMPORTANT: Please report to me all the error messages you will get (mostly it will be about mising files) !!

TEST :Eagle Modeling Tool

Thanks to those who help me out here !!

Tuga,

Did you use the link in my post AND didn't have the original tool installed on your PC ?

Reason why I ask this, is because the tool needs some DLL files that are not provided with windows. If it works without these additional files, it's just fine. I can reduce the size of the program from 1 Mb to just 60 Kb. That's even better for modem-users..

Thanks for the reply so far !

Hi Danny,

I had not installed any previous versions of your program. I downloaded the test program from your link, and it worked fine for me, no error messages at all. I am running WinME.

By the way...Great Program!! :-)

Hi Danny,

Yes. I use your link and on a PC where I haven't installed it (PC with Win2000 and SP2).

I'll try on another one with Win98 and will post the results.

Ah, Tuga thanks.

This means that people can access the tool directly from the internet. It surprises me, but I'm a happy man now.

The little girl is just fine. My wife on the other hand is not so well. She's had a postpartum depression after giving birth to our son. She now fears that it's going to happen again. A difficult time over here, but we'll be OK in time again.

Danny,
Runs just fine here a work. We are running Windows 2000 on a network.
I do not have the modeling tool installed here at work.
However, if I can run it from your site, it would be most useful.

I do hope you and your family will be well.

Works just fine here. I'm at work and we're using Windows NT 4.0.

Hey Danny,

It works unitl I do a file calculate then it gives me this

Run-time error '713'
Class not registered.
You need the following file to be installed on your machine.
msstdfnt.dll

I am running windows XP

Hi Danny,

Perhaps this will be helpfull for your tests:

- I've made a search on the PC with Win2000 to that file and it don't exists but your tool works fine and does the calculations.

Thx for the reply guys. It's a bit of a puzzle XP vs. Win2K, but I'll sort it out.....

Danny, I've been waiting on the sidelines to load down the perfected model. I'll run it soon. I'm a bit of a computer nerd. As for the wife, tell her not to delve too deeply into the previous problem, as it could become/create a symptomatique correlation. A weekend away, or a mini change of environment, such as an overnight picnic, a stroll on the beach, a walk in the forest, might help to change her to change her ideas. There is a lot of pressure with a newborn in the house and this stress can be indirectly translated into post natal depression. Things will be fine. Greetings to one and all.

Jacko
