Wow! So fast! Thanks a lot jimbrae!
I was thinking about their re-releases. They say it was limited edition. Would this be like DML's 10th aniversarry/D-dar rereleases?

lol, when Tamiya say 'limited-edition' they mean re-pop... I put this,as a 'communication' tool, I didn't want people to get the impression that the (armor) kits were new kits. Some of them (particularly the figs) need re-mastering, not re-releasing...

Still, it'll be nice to be able to get some cheap DAK figures again.

If these are the same DAK figures that they released with their panzer II, its a waste of time. They are awful!
I know this set sells seperatly as well. Huge ejector pins on the back of legs, the usual soft details and the ones I have have a problem with air in the cavities as there is big sucked in areas on some of the figure´s backs. Im not the fussiest builder, but I would never use them! Another thing, they look quite big ... maybe 1/32. Dragon have some suitable figures that would be better as have tristar.

The 1/32 F-16CJ (Block 50) has peaked my attention. I went to Tamiya's website and got some info and pictures.
20 Reasons Why You Must Have Tamiya’s 1/32 F-16!
- Model represents the F-16CJ (Block 50) as used for USAF SEAD “Wild Weasel” missions.
- First ever 1/32 scale F-16 model replicating General Electric engine and “Big Mouth” duct.
- Tamiya’s most detailed 1/32 scale jet fighter ever.
- General Electric F-110 jet engine replicated in precise detail.
- Engine slides into aircraft on a hook and rail system exactly like the actual aircraft.
- Engine can be displayed outside of aircraft using its very own cart.
- Moveable ejector seat placed on slide rail like actual aircraft.
- Curved bubbletop canopy can be assembled in the opened or closed position.
- Choice of two types of canopy, clear and smoked.
- 1 pilot figure for cockpit included.
- Pilot tube and static dischargers reproduced using metal parts.
- Die-cast landing gear for extra durability.
- Metal weight added to nose for accurate front-rear weight distribution.
- Includes actual rubber tires.
- Photo-etched parts used for seat buckles, radar antenna, chaff/flare dispensers and name-plate for high-quality display.
- Nose cone can be opened and closed allowing display of accurately recreated radar.
- Trailing edge flaps, horizontal stabilizer fins and vertical tail fin flaps can move after assembly thanks to poly caps.
- Missiles can be removed and replaced even after assembly.
- Gun hatch can be opened after assembly displaying machine gun.
- Packaging box has been specially designed allowing large scale model to be easily stored even after assembly.
Here are some pics (sorry, I tried playing with the HTML to show the pics, but I have to settle with just hot links.)

From the code number, it seems to be their 8 figure set. However, they are not much of an improvement on the 4 figures you're thinking about.
