In your collection, pick ONE AND ONLY ONE model that is your very favorite. Rules are no ramblings about this was your favorite model for 2 years then this became your favorite model, etc. I mean today, right now. I will allow a brief statement or two as to why.it is your "Pride and Joy". OK mine is my Tamiya M-551 Sheridan. Wanted to do it Viet Nam but it was all wrong so I had to buy a rare PE and do scratch building to fix it. The kit came out looking great in the end

My favorite build up is the Revell of Germany s-100 schnellboot... it's big, detailed and everything fits like a glove.. and the best part is the price!!!! (paid only 17 € in Belgium)

For me - the Airfix 1/48 Spitfire Vb done about 3 years ago now. First plane I really got rid of all the seams on, opened up the canopy without screwing it up - first detail paint of cockpit including drybrushing, drilled out the cannon barrels. Desert cammo came out quite good.

Made several other aircraft since - but this one still holds pride of place on my small display shelf.

Difficult, but it has to be the Leopard 2A5. I'm not a big fan of modern armour, but the long, sleek shape of the turret does it for me.

Trumpeter 1:35 SA-2 Guideline. Had some pretty tiny pieces tho, and a couple parts of the build were near impossible...but it turned out awesome. I just have a soft spot for soviet SAM's tho, and I wish there were more out there....

tamiya 1:35 wespe. I built it terribly, it's got a bad paint job, but i've experimented on it so much since then that it has probably singlehandedly had the greatest effect on my love for the hobby.

I have many that are much better but my favorite will be the model that really got me interested in doing more..

Tamiya's American Halftrack...

if not for this sweet build i would prob have quit before i got started.

I had two surprises, I figured animal was going to pick one of his unbelievable sscratchbuilds and I thought Garybeebe would have picked a ship. Look forward to reading about more of yor pride and joys. Oh, I do have a picture or two of my Sheridan in my gallery if anyone is interested.

My Pride and Joy would easily be my old Esci T-55. It was the first of my "Modern Era". It was my first using indy track links, PE and dry-brushing. It was also my first decent figure attempt.

No photoshop used on the photo, just good old forced perspective.

I would have to say my Tamiya M113 ACAV. It was a fun and easy kit. This was the first model I really got serious with the weathering and the result was great.

Since Steve said he was shocked I did'nt pick a ship. I was thinking Armor only! So in that case, this is my pride and joy! The Tamiya 1/350 Battleship Tirpitz. A joy to build, and it was my first try at useing a full PE set and drilling out the main gun barrels.

Cheers,

For me its a Italeri Zis-5 Soviet Truck, I was empressed with the detailed on this model, I only added a couple of personal touches and everything just clicked.
