Great movie - like a roller coaster ride that won't stop! My wife and I enjoyed this one on opening night. Meow...
Sequel is slated to come - though I don't want to imagine what the director and writer has in store for the audience in that one...

Mary-Now, I'm a lover of good horror/fright flicks, & I'd never keep anyone from the gorgeous & multitalented Sarah Michelle Gellar, BUT:
Is this really the type of film recommended for a guy recovering from HEART SURGERY ?!?!?!
I mean, Sarah Michelle herself makes my heart flutter & skip, then add the jump-out-at-you fright stuff- isn't that a Double Threat?
Or is this some daiblical plot you've hatched? Already got yer sights on Kevin's Stash?!

One thing I remembered - The Grudge is actually a remake of a Japanese movie. I'm going to get a chance to see (the original) in the next week or two... The other remake was 'RINGU' - The Ring, which was brilliant stuff as well..Jim

I used to cover my face with my blanket when I was afraid at night, but this movie totally changes that. Now I don't even dare to look down......

First off, I've seen the Grudge...
...Scariest movie EVER! And a couple of things grabbed me (no pun intended) about this movie and "The Ring"
The Japanese have a VERY different idea on how to scare people! There is very little gore and what little they use is intense! It was funny when thinking about "fear mentality" when I noticed that everyone in the theater, and myself for that matter, KNEW that something startling was going to happen, screamed when it did, and then laughed right after they screamed! Everyone in the theater!
Same thing with "The Ring", which I consider the second scariest movie ever. Japanese, very little gore and new ideas in "stop-motion" type filming that really creep me out.
Oh, and hiding under the covers...
...NEVER AGAIN!
I give it 5 out of 5 grenades

This sounds like a future view. Maybe have to do what my dad did when a movie rattled him, turn sound off so the music wouldn't scare him....he claims that works pretty well.

I've been waiting to see this movie....might have to wait til the video comes out. In the meantime, the advertising and trailers, ads, they aren't just a hype for a mediocre movie I take it. I'm an avid RPG gamer and there's something that White Wolf came out with, Wraith: The Oblivion, where you get to role up and play... yes.. a wraith.. ghost.. whatever you want to call it. So these wraithly movies are just catching some renewed attention with me. So, its all its cracked up to be ??????
