i'm sure hannants is a great dealer, and I have already ordered from it, but I have been a little shaken by the shipping times suggested to me by other people on Armorama. Anyone know of a proven dealership in the US, or better yet, on the East Coast? My parents are sticklers about giving out their credit card numbers, but the money rolls once I get to my chores and work. any help will greatly help my modelling exploits.

Discountmodels.com For armor related purchases. Good prices and customer service second to none. Mission Models is another great one also.

I've used them all, and can say I received good service from each.
Just remember that sometimes everything isn't in stock, and sometimes we need to wait. Using the web is great, but sometimes a phone call will help sort out in-stock.... not in stock... how long do you want to wait before shipping problems.

You know how we modellers are...... I want the paint to dry yesterday......then complain that it dried too fast leaving the airbrush......... LOL

If you can get a Money Order, or check I can get it within a few days to you from my LHS, I can also get things really cheap. Almost wholesale prices.

Ask paul he had his stuff really fast if it wasn't for the hurricanes in FL or he would have had it within days. Just letting you know I order from my LHS aleast once a week.

Hope I can HELP

Happy Modeling

I've only ordered from a few online places, but so far so good. One thing that I do, because I'm impatient, is to opt out of waiting for backorders if the site allows it. Most of the sites I visit attempt to have stock status, so I just check "no backorders allowed" and get whatever they can deliver.

My list:
www.greatmodels.com - Excellent prices, reasonably fast turnaround from order to ship to delivery. Order tracking leaves a little bit to be desired on the site side, but they come through.

www.hobbylinc.com - Excellent prices for the most part, good turnaround through the process. Order through "out the door" takes a couple of days.

www.militaryhobbies.com - Good prices, some much better than sale prices on the US side. Very fast shipping. Usually within 3 days ordered to delivered from Canada to PA. My only glitch was the last order. They sent me a partial order (I did opt for no backorders) but I couldn't verify that the items were out of stock. The site claims "real time", but the items that weren't delivered still haven't shown out of stock. Never got a response to my email about it either. For the record, they didn't charge me for the missing items.

I've also had success through Hometown Hobbies, but the site seems a bit dated. He did throw in a nice promo pen with my first order.

Just my .02 Hope it helps!
