Up ´till now I have used humbrol putty. I had to purchase some more at the weekend, but there was none, so I bought squadron´s white putty as recommended by the hobby store.
Does this work the same as humbrol? When I apply putty, can I level it out with nail polish remover to avoid excessive sanding? How long is the normal drying/hardning time before sanding? How much working time does one have?
Any and all tips and opinions on this would be appreciated. Cheers.

I use the squadron's Putties all the time. Except i use Liquid cement to smooth it out. I normally use it for putting figures together.
