Hey!
Hereīs an example of what simple smoke effect can do to a scene. The smoke was created using multiple semi-transparent layers of different smoke patterns.
Everything else in the picture is from the original.

More pics will follow as an article when Jim gets it online...

Heh. Itīs actually simpler than it sounds.
I just searched the web for pictures featuring smoke, found 3-4 suitable ones with right kind of shape and copy-pasted those over the tent picture. There are several layers of smoke, and all layers are set 50% or more transparent. Photoshop also offers nice set of layer effects so you can change the way the layer affects the picture underneath.
I have also blurred some of the layers to create a feeling of depth. There is one layer of smoke that is tinted blueish and some of it is visible in the background. Smoke in the woods have this kind of effect.
I like toying around with Photoshop, and it certainly offers cool features to liven up a static scene. You must be careful, though, to not overdo it!

Thanks Danny, my pleasure!

Aha,

you've just "cleared that up". I was wondering if you added some digital smoke, or that you played tricks with the camera itself.

Nice job you did there. I'm gonna try the same thing, but with the camera trickshots, in my "Arnhem dio" I'm researching right now.
