I'm wondering if it is not just the Dragon kit reboxed for Italeri ..are the figures in winter paratrooper uniforms by any chance?

The 2004 catalogue doesn't say a thing about it other than it being New. I love that with servants in the description. :-)

I've just had a peek at the box art on the Hannants site and those figures look very similar to the crew which came with the re-issued 75mm light gun (ex- ESCI). Could they have combined them with the Dragon gun?

Geoff - Interesting you mention ESCI. They (Italeri) also have a New "Gun Set, Pak 35, Pak, 40, and Flak 38" in 1/72 that is a straight forward rebox of the ESCI kit I bought years ago.

Yes, that will be the same ex-ESCI kit. All their 1/72 range, except 2, are re-issues of the old ESCI models. The exceptions are an M8 Greyhound (which may be out now) and a D.U.K.W.

Geoff, how about the two Kubelwagen set by Italeri in 1/72 scale? Is that an old Esci kit inside? I've seen them OOB, but do not know what the old Esci Kubelwagens looked like (or if there were any).

I'd forgotten about that one. From what I've heard, the Kubels are old Italeri originals. They were once included in their Gotha 242/244 glider/ transport kit.

The cammo-smocked crew for the Italeri PaK 38 are originally 1970s ESCI, and were issued with their Infantry Gun. About the best of the ESCI 1/35th figures too.

I guess the gun originates with the one that Italeri mounted on their Demag half-track. Not sure whether that's one of theirs or Dragons.

And the Kubelwagens do originate from the one which came with the Gotha glider.

It was my understanding that the AGT was a sopy of the Dragon kit. Does anyone have both and can compare?
