Hi the link to our club does not seem to work here
try this www.rcacn.com and find the link to the RCTC in Auckland. We have a member in Taranaki.
Basically,we are 1/16th WW2 modelers who like their models to be Radio Controlled. We also have fun holding battles between "Battle system" equipped tanks.
We are currently getting a lot of interest from people who have no experience in either modeling or radio control. It is the concept of battling against other tanks that gets them interested.
The Military Re-enactment society will be staging battles at Armistice in Cambridge on 14 Nov,another event of note is the MOTAT Military Day on 20 Feb in Auckland. Here is the MRS website
http://www.jeepownersclub.co.nz/mrs/mrsindex.html
If anybody wishes to contact me ,my email is
[email protected]
Thanks

Herr
Its not too bad if you can stop at one tank but most of us seem to get caught up in an endless quest to aquire more tanks, heh.
They cost from $1500 to 2,000 each,I have ten myself!
No,I am not a re-enactor,our club attends a couple of events,as mentioned,where the MRS performs .

wow some big tanks !
Are there many people who actually have them in NZ ?
I am serious thinking about the re-enacting, and I prefer the Jeepownersclub so you might see me there one day

Herr
there are about 20 large scale tank owners that I know
of and we are picking up one or two new members every month, this mirrors the exponential growth of the hobby worldwide since the infa-red combat systems were introduced.
I take it you will be a german re-enactor?
