Hi All,
Just read Filtzer's post about using elastic bandage and Gunny's comment about 'using what you've got'. I remember modelling Tamiya's chally 1 while back and looking for a material to make sleeping mats (the foam y rubber insulating pad thingys) and ended up using an old balloon that had been burst. (I just cut a strip to size, rolled it up; tightly wrapped fishing line round it a few times to simulate the straps digging in, super glued it and added paper strips to hide the fishing line.)
Gunny's comment got me thinking that maybe there are other uses for balloon rubber? Lean-to shelters maybe or truck bed covers?

Catch you later

great idea, now i can start saving the tourniquets i use to start iv's on patients. one of those can make a dozen bedrolls!!!!!!!!!

i read somewhere that ya can use rolled kleenex and soak it in a glue mix, and roll it in tea leaves to make it look like a rolled up camo tarp... anyone here hear of it?
