Went to my first IPMS in Burnaby B.C. today, and both of my Shermans got disqualified due to the registration guy instructing me to put them in the wrong catagory. and my Flak 88 didn't place either. Way too many open top vehicles and self propelled guns for a plain ol' 88 to compete with.
Did pick up a 1/9th scale ESCI BMW R75 motorcycle with side car kit for $30.00 and a few aftermarket sets for som flying thinggies. The best part of the day was taking my oldest son Conor (aka Little CHief) and the oldest son of a fellow chief who is on deployment to the middle east. A bit confusing since both of them have the same first name.
Oh, also Mr. Mark Thompson, editor of Fine Scale Modeler, asked to photo two of my entrys, so maybe they'll end up in a future issue. Great fun and a learning experience to boot. Saw 3 of Revell's 1/72 Type VII U-Boats too. I gotta get one of those!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like it was great fun anyway, bad luck aside.
How about some pics of your entries here?
That way we won't have to wait for the FSM issue to come out to see 'em!

Uhmmmm....pictures? Oh yeh those things you take with a camera thinggie, I do not have a digi cam yet and since I am 42 years old with other things on my mind, I forgot my 35mm on my desk. Had new film and batteries too. Sorry for the let down fellas.

Unfortunately, I found out at the last minute that I can't get to the show this year!
