Last week I caught Die Another Day on satellite. In one scene, supposedly in Havana, Cuba, there were some large, shielded guns in the background. These looked exactly like some 5.5 inch guns removed from the HMS Hood that were on one of the Falkland islands as a shore battery. Does anybody know if this scene was really filmed in Havana or where it was filmed. Or anything about these guns?

Hmmm... that sure didn't look like those scenes sure didn't look like either Maui, Alaska, or Washington. Of course it could have all been a set, but it sure looked like on location.

Oh well, I'm sure I'm the only one in the world who would wonder about something like that.

Thanks for your time though.

I would think that some of the Aluetian islands would be perfect to simulate the Faulklands. I'll bet we still have shore batteries on some of those islands as remnets from WW 2
