Petro- a quick search on http://a9.com/-/search/home.jsp?nocookie=1 turned up some hits. The top has information on the setup of defenses, and the second site has a slide show of photos (some German) and the German order of battle. If you a9 search the units in the OOB, chances are good you'll find some more pics of the Bocage.

Another good source...
German Field Fortifications 1939–45
authored by Gordon Rottman. Just released, should be available if not soon. I just received an advanced copy....looks great!

Petro- This link may give you an Idea. The paintings were done by the above artist as his unit moved through.

Hi Marc
Although i have no pic ref to hand all my ref books are in the uk however my Dsd who landed on D-Day said that some of the positions were very well dug in , and very well conceled, the local gography was very well suited, suken roads as he said to me when i spoke to him yesterday a bloody nightmare,
He did say that some were to hit us,slow us and then move to another pre made position, also they would set up sniper positions, ahead of these positions again to slow you up and knock your morale most important was with regard the german positins was field of fire, protection and the ability to move away with cover, fight to live another day so to speak.
Hope this is of some help.
Tango 20 cheers chris
