This Tuesday is the third Tuesday of the month and, that month being September, it 's also the first Peel Scale Modelers meeting of the season.
As mentioned earlier we are trying to form an AMPS chapter as a sort of special interest sub-group of PSM. If this takes hold, you'll have to become a member of PSM and pay the $25 annual fee. I don't know that there would be much specific AMPS stuff discussed at each meeting and even that would probably take place in the interval between the normal Peel club business portion and the usual presentation we have each month. It's all pretty tenuous at the moment and those that attend can set their own agenda and expectations for the club.
At the very least PSM is a good home for any modelers as we are just about the only club I know that has beer and pizza each meeting. So, if you interested in starting an AMPS chapter in the Toronto area, please come by next Tuesday. The meeting are:
8 pm (doors open 7:30ish)
85 Hanson Road N.
Brampton, ON
85 Hanson is the community centre on the west side of Hanson just north of the stop sign. Hanson is north off Queen St. West off the 410 and west of Rutherford Road, but not as far as Kennedy Road. Any question, please don't hesitate to contact me at:

OK, it's another third Tuesday, so it's time for another Peel Scale Modelers meeting. We didn't get anyone new last time, so I thought I'd post again this time.

I like the beer and pizza idea but seriously, what actually goes on at your meeetings?
Why should I attend (for other than the "beer and pizza")...yes I do have a one track mind. :-)

Pretty much the same as goes on at any other model club:
- people bring in their finished and "in work" kits for people to chat about
- there is usually a seminar on some aspect of modelling (this month's was on kitbashing figures)
- we have a broad range of modelers in the club with armour, car, aircraft, SciFi and even a couple of ship guys
- we have some of the best modelers in southern Ontario in the club so there is a ready answer to most questions
- our members have some of the best reference libraries around, with some of us collecting books on our subjects for the last 30+ years, providing even greater ability to find answers to questions
- our guys are a great group and have a good time gabbing about models once a month
oh, yeah, and...
- the pizza and beer
