I wailed several months ago that another Hobby shop in the Dallas metroplex had shut down. The Hobbyland in Arlington didn't fold ...it just moved and the old landlord kept tearing down the "We've moved" sign. YEA !!! The one thing they always had was a super selection of paints and lots of that woodland scenics diorama stuff. Kit selection was mediocre, but talked with owner and he said new store was much bigger and there was an increase in kits. You can see the "hornets nest" I stirred up in my Why I don't compete" post, but, I will always attend the shows because of the comraderie and finding out some super info like this.

That's some good news for you Steve Remember Phil's Hobbies? That place closed down June of last year I drive long haul truck Whenever I had time I would get a motel room off of Valleyview and I-35E and take a taxi to Phil's His store was the next exit north

I really miss that place It's a wonder any hobby store can compete with Squadron mail order in that area
