well just discovered a wonderful paint thinner, that i cant believe i didnt think of sooner, nailpolish remover! its excellent, i used to use regular testors brush cleaner, but after all the sediments get to the bottom of the jar, it just became useless after a while, what do you guys use?

Hey Mech...
I use Isopropanol Alcohol for my acryllics, it works really good for Tamiya paints! Enamels I use just ordinary mineral spirits bought at the local house paint store. Oils I use Better Way Brush and Oil Thinner.

Mech- What type of paint are you thinning? Or are you talking about brush cleaner? Remember that Acetone ( the base of NP remover) is a known carcinogen. It can be inhaled or absorbed through the skin. Goes straight to your liver & kidneys, and once it gets there it stays there! Just be careful with it especially as you're "still a growing boy"...

i'm thinning enamels w/ nail polish, i forgot to add i dilute the NP w/ some water so it doesnt smell as strong, and i wear latex gloves when painting cuz it takes forever to get that enamel paint off

I agree with KellyZak, isoprobyl alcohol for Tamiya acrylics and mineral spirits for Testors enamels. I only use humbrol thinner for Humbrol paints.

Humbrol enamels seem to be different from Testors, some of the enamels will be ok with the mineral spirits, others, the thinner won't even touch it...yet the ones that won't work seem to work fine with my oil paint thinner?! Weird...ha ha
