i drove to borders today hoping to buy a nice chai tea and a john keegan book, and a few ww2 books but ran into something else, i saw that borders was having a sale on Osprey books, buy 2 get the 3rd free, surprisingly borders was pretty stocked up on them, never thought they would have any of those books there!

anyways, where do you guys get your osprey books, online or at local hobby shop? my local hobby shop as a HUGE stock of osprey books.

I get mine for a good price from my LHS I have been going there a lot in the past few months and if I buy a certain amount of stuff he gives me a nice discount.

Because one day when I was in there I told him he was charging 40-50 dollars for a tamiya M1A1 abrams w/plow and I told him I could get it online for about 30 bucks or so. So we made a deal if I spend a certain amount I would get like a % off.

He's the only one hobby shop for like 50-60 miles so he keeps his store stocked pretty good.

Generally I order Osprey titles from Amazon.com. They give a nice discount off the list price and I always make sure to order enough to hit the $25 free shipping point.

When I heard about this sale, I went to 2 different Borders here in Houston. One had the sign up (Buy 2 get the 3rd free) on the shelf with the Osprey titles, while the other did not. Neither had any volumes I was interested in so no purchases made at either store.

well according to what KBM is saying i guess not, but its a good chance its at a lot of them, i guess not many people know about OSPREY title books at borders, so i guess they wanted to get the news out, my borders had a lot of them (3 maybe 4 full shelves full) so i guess no one spots them...could be cuz they're under all the tom clancy and john keegan books haha all the top sellers just blow away ospreys competition lol

I wish the Canadian version of Borders, aka Chapters just carried the Osprey books, never mind having them on sale....having them in stock would be a plus.

My Borders has the same sales but unfortunately they have very few titles in stock. I haven't asked if special orders count as part of the sale or not

I get my Osprey books from Overstock.com, they are almost always cheaper than Amazon, even with shipping.
