Was just checking a few dealers sites, is it just me or has there been a price increase on a lot of kit prices lately ?????
Maybe I should just build the several hundred stashed away, and save my money......
When I see kits that were last year 10 to 15 bucks now going for 25 -30 bucks, somethings not right. The old "Import fee's" routine don't cut it since models are classified as toys, and not subject to US import fees.

Wouldn't complain if it was new or fairly new tooling, but 25-30 bucks for a Bilek or Zevezda kit........ that's nothing more than a repop of Italerie kits, using crappy, cheaper plastic, with decals that aren't worth the paper they are printed on, and boxes and intructions with the consistantcey of toilet paper. Think it just plain ripping off, and yep, I know I don't have to buy, and I'm not going to buy.

So Much for my rant.......

I dont blame you Dave, I wont buy either! Like you I have a large stash to, the trouble is that 90% of them are aircraft! Right now I am mostly building armor and warships. But I will bide my time for good armor deals!

I have to agree with you Dave. I purchase a lot of the same kits and I have seen a very large price increase on the kit from one to another.I was able to purchase the Italeri M-925 Shelter Truck Kit for around $12.00 US and today they are going for $24.00 or more. I have noticed though that some other kits have gone down in price. The M-977 for instance was going for about $34.00 about a year ago and now I am able to find them for 2$26.00. I guess it depends on the popularity and the Vendor's stock. But all in all the prices have been rising very fast.
