Other phots can be found in the figure forum... Oops, that should have said WWII Reenactors in the subject line. If a moderator can tweak that, that would be cool.

Gary, if you have anymore , post 'em up! No kidding on getting involved, wait until they find out you're interested. I'm kicking around the idea, though I'm acting impulsively on this one. I don't want a hobby that cuts into figure building!!

Future reference, if you (or anyone else) see reenactor aircrew, can you get some overall and detail shots to post on the site?

I may go to Oshkosh next year for just that purpose...

I'll be sure to post any pic's I find or take. I here ya about sounding good, but already have to many logs on the fire! I build in Armor , planes and warships so I have a pretty full tub already! Still I find re-enactment very interesting.

Great photos. Looks like you guys have a lot of money tied up in the uniforms and equipment.

I think military re-enacting is a great thing. Where do you hold you battles? Also, do you pay for oyur own uniforms, weapons, and other itmes needed to look authentic? If so, where do you buy them?

Interesting Bob, when were you at FIG??? I've been there every year since '93...except for '96 when I had pneumonia...

That's the staging area near Range 6 where we do our tacticals each year...and you said you're only 15? How do you get in?? FIG is very strict about being 18, after all it is an active US Army installation.

Jeff, I didnt take the ones from FIG. I wasnt there, I was just showing the pictures. The ones of me are in Arizona. I am only 15 so im not allowed to fire a weapon (even though im holding one in the picture). But the unit commander thought i was mature enough, and looked old enough to be a reenactor. The pics in the halftrack are not from the Ardennes Offensive. Same with the one of me.

BTW: Do you know the Waffen-SS veteran that was commander of the germans last year at the Ardennes Offensive? Well, I know him, we have become very close friends. I also might be able to do it this year, for the biggest one (60th Anniversity). But I might not be able to.

The resemblance is pretty good, however I know the sculptor who did that piece (Bill Chillstrom) and I know for a fact he sculpted it like 5 years ago or something like that. Was an older piece he did.
