Hi Everyone,
Question on bullet belts....how does one go about making them lay and look natural...I have a seated German paratrooper that will be going on a Panzer IV, and I've ended up wasting three bullet belts trying to conform the legs, etc.
I've tried holding it high over a candle to soften the plastic, but when it starts to curl up, it pretty much melts into a blob.
Is there an easier way to get better reslults?

have you tried boiling water? place/hold the part in the water with tweezers or something like that leave it for a few mins and try and shape it that way you might have to do it a few times to conform to the shape you need

But I don't have one, I shave my head! :-)
Seriously, that sounds like a good option as well, I can go to my ma's and grab an old one and try using that.

lay the bullet belt where ya want it, then use the hair dryer, it should soften and conform to where you have it sitting, then ya can spot glue it in place.

when i worked construction, we had an industrial heat gun, we would make a form design from pegs and heat pvc pipe and fit in the form for the design we needed to form fit the pipe to fit, and that is how i got the idea.

cool, that sound great! I have an old paint remover heat gun, that could work, I will just have to make sure to put it on a low heat, otherwise it will melt the gun and figure!
Thanks for the advice, Reb!

LOL so do I, but I have a hair dryer, been using it for years to speed up drying paint, softening decals, and softening vinyl kits and parts.
