hello all, after browsing this forum for about six months i finally registered. i am joe, i am a history buff with a great interest in pearl harbor and the many aspects of this attack. my current builds are the 1/35 dml/dragon king tiger w/porsche turrent and a 1/48 revell b-17g. both are basically out of box with a few minor detailing experiments.
i am a regular on finescale and scale hobby and hope to contribute in some small way here.

Welcome Joe,
As a six month 'veteran' you know what you are getting into and will totally enjoy yourself here.
What kind of experiments are you performing on those two? (See, got your first question already!)
Looking forward to seeing your work on those kits and any others you are willing to share with us.

keith, really minor stuff. i inserted 28 guage wire for the handles on the tiger and tried to scratchwork the wiring behind the instrument panel of the b17. but it is my first real attempt at oob except for decals.

Joe,
Wire for handles--have done a bit of that myself! It worked great on the 1/25 Panther and so-so on its 1/35th little brother.
I have also tried the 'wiring behind the instrument panel' on an Arado 234. All that glass up front was just asking for it. Then I sprayed another kit in work with dullcoat a little too close to the Arado and the canopy frosted over! Oh well. Live and learn.
Looking forward to sharing more Tips & Tricks with ya.

Ciao Joe,
Welcome to the club. I usually tell new arrivals that they will love it here, but you already know that you will love it. How is that DML build going? It was recently reviewed in FSM, and they said that it was pretty good. Plus, if you get FSM, they had a good article on improving on a B-25. You might get some good tips out of it.
Ciao for now
