How long do you think this 1/44 fad will last before most modellers will return to 1/35? Sure, they're small and cute (!) with sufficient detail, but you can't beat 1/35 for detail and ease of conversions. Personally, my ideal scale would be 1/48. The Bandai/Funan models were nice but dated. Tamiya is hinting at a 1/48 line with their Kublewagen., and now a Kettenkrad with a trailer full of weapons and supplies. Anybody have any ideas where Tamiya is going with this?

Bigg boy,
You almost sound mad at the modeling manufacturers for not giving you what you want. :-) We all feel this way I believe. I tend to look for 1/144 because I do 1/160 railroading and it's sometimes the closest I can come to it with the subject I need. I have also found that a good supply of plastic stock and a bit of scratchbuilding is sometimes the only way to create what I want to portray. So don't feel alone out there, we all ride that boat.
