Hi all,
Does anybody know what happend to the old matchbox series of aircraft and vehicles?
At my place, you can still buy a few kits of the aircraft from 1989 but more I cannot find.

Try eBay. There's usually loads on there. I recently bought a Phantom, a Sea Harrier and a Buccaneer there.

Some of the old Matchbox kits have been turning up in the Revell range. The armour have been available as combi-kits with figure, and some individual vehicles are listed as "new releases" on their web site. As for aircraft, I bought a Helldiver which proved to be ex-Matchbox and not so long ago the Wellington and Swordfish appeared under the Revell banner. I'm pretty sure there are many more.

Some of the old Matchbox 1/72 scale aircraft kits have been released by Revell of Germany in Revell boxes. Some of the old 1/76 scale armor kits have been reboxed by Revell of Germany in Revell boxes as well but labeled as 1/72 instead of 1/76.

The Matchbox kits that are reboxed Revell kits are mainly the kits with figures include, although not all of them are old Matchbox kits.
