One week from today we make the trek down to the University of Richmond to drop my darling daughter Nichole off at college. The worst part is I dont want her to leave. She has been an absolute joy to raise and I am the proudest and luckiest Dad alive.. Now to brag..Through high school ...Honor society, Captain of the Color Guard, District Champions Sabre (fencing) 3 years State Choir ( 80 girls out of 2,000) Lead in school play, Volunteer 1st Aid , school choir , school choral and $ 20,000 grant to U of R! The list goes on !
It's the happiest and saddest time of my life.

Thats my Niki on the left!!

There is nothing like a proud gloating Papa. You have every reason to be proud of Niki. It hard to let go. But remember how proud you were of her from her High School days, just think how proud you will be from all her accomplishments in college.

Ciao PvtParts,
I have one that will be in High School next year, and I think I am starting to know how you feel. You have every right to be proud of your daughter. And Hey, you did a good job on raising her. Congrats!!
Ciao for now

What lovely children you have John, from our conversations I know how proud you are of them, and I'm sure they are just as proud of you as their father. When she's gone at college, drown you sorrows with another kit, saw a photo of a clubmoble, but this one was in a trailer. You could scratchbuild it, I'm sure Mr. Roo and Animal and a few others would be happy to help you, and pretty sure the interior was probably along the same lines as the one you did....... :-)

Congrats dad, you have every reason to be proud. Sounds like she's quite a well rounded person and should do well in college.
Like others have said, drown your sorrows in another kit.

I'm on the other end of the specturm, my 5yr old goes into Kindergarten in a couple of weeks.
Seems like just a blink of time ago, he was the size of my forearm.

Well done Dad. Congratulations to her too. That'll be me in 4 years.... the time will fly.

I lived in Richmond for almost 6 years, you'll really like it there, it's got a lot to offer.

Ypu know it only gets worse when it gets better. Soon she will be dating boys out of your supervision. Guys will want to be with her. She will study hard, get a job and a career, live on her own somewhere and never move back into the house. She will get married, have sex (oh my!) and have kids. However, in your eyes she will always be that fresh as the virgin snow little girl you held in your arms the day she was born.

On the up side since she is on scholarship that means you don't have to pony up for so many expenses and that could lead to more models!!

you should be very proud,

i dont understand the US education system, but thats looks like a bloody impressive tally of achievements to me!

you need to look forward to when she has a great career and can buy you loads of models for birthdays, christmas etc!
