hi

if you are looking for Dragon figures and kits, there is the one and only shop called Timemachine-studio at Millenia Walk. The dragon kits sold there are really cheap! 39.90 for a KT and now they are having an offer on the new T34/76 for just 30 bucks! The shop is located at the first floor

Near Millenia Walk, there is another shopping centre (just have to walk, its just a stone throw away) called Marina Shopping centre. On the 2nd floor you can find "Miniature Hobby"... wide range of kits from all brands with reasonable prices!

Well, since you're at the place.. you can go check out the tourist spots like the esplanade and currently there is a carnival there.. have fun

oh..sorry here are the sites :
TimeMachine studio = www.timemachine-studio.com

Miniature hobby = www.miniaturehobby.com

hi Leopold

seriously, i do not like going to suntec's hobby point. The attitude of the staff there leaves little to be desired and they know NUTS about modelling

Tiong Bahru Plaza's is so much better

oh you forgot to mention the shop at specialist centre, just right opposite centrepoint, the dealer for Italeri

Yes and no.

Yes:
Tamiya, DML and all other Eastern manufacturers.

No:

I personally found Singapore-lah's modellers some of the most friendly and knowledgable blokes that I've EVER met.

The shop at Sun-tec City had the best prices for Dragon and in particular their reference material was VERY cheap.

My folks work in KL (Malaysia) for the next few years and my adopted family are Singaporean so I try and get back there as many times as I can.

Great people, great modellers, great food! GO SINGAPORE - LAH! :-)

Tazz:

That's the rub...shipping costs. I ordered from the Hobby easy that advertises on our site here but all I was looking for was 4 gun tubes. Costs $4 shipping airmail. Since I saved $3-4 a tube and shipping was actually $3 less tha the set price of $7 from most dealers here, I made out like a bandit. Full sized kits will eat you alive!!!! You'll save but then the shipping will put you right bak where you wre at. or if its real big or heavy...U R Skunked.

G'day mate, yes Tamiya kits are cheap in Japan. If you look at the side of the box you will see the Yen price, that is what you will pay in Japan at most. if you are going to Tokyo, then you have to go to Tachikawa, you will be at the Rail station, Look for the Mcdonalds outside and go towards it. About a block from the Micky d's will be a Great hobby store, on the left, It is only a block from the station, so you cant miss it, awesome prices. If you need more help let me know, also Okinawa has great prices, if you ever come here let me know, I know all the shops here, very very cheap
