Hello,
Does anbody know a supplier of WW2 british tank overalls (replica or original). You know the padded like (winter?)type. I tried to find a picture, but no luck on Google and the others.

hi kris,
the suit you refer to is the M1943 'pixie' suit, they were intended for cold weather use, but because of the padding they were found to be more comfortable to wear inside AFV's.
as for finding one, im not sure, however many armoured troops simply wore battle drees with a leather jerkin over the top, these would be a lot easier to find!
cheers

Hi the Pixie suit was never part of the Winter Uniform items , it was designed from the start as a tank suit and was first tested in 1942 , the earliest date I have seen is Jan 1943 made by the Fifty Shilling Tailors . cheers ian
