I don't know if this thread has been started yet. If it has I apologize. Plastic models are on sale for half off again at HoLo. Self healing cutting mats are are on sale for 1/3 off. I almost bought a new mat last week and now I am glad I couldn't find one at Wally World.

Shaun

I will try to scope the store out early tomorrow but I will be traveling on business to Wisconsin the rest of the week so that will pretty much leave me out of a group buy type deal.

Howdy keenan,

Thx for the heads up! I just checked their web site, and indeed they are having a 1/2 off sale on plastic model kits from July 26, thru July 31, 2004.

I wasn't able to take advantage of their new additions (the T-55, and the Humvee) as well as I would have wanted last time (most of the store's around my area hadn't really put them out yet). But this time......they're toast!
Oh, and I may even try again to make our good HalfYank turn Blue!

Tread.

RAts...they would change up my schedule this week too. Oh well, I got quite a haul last time. If anyone runs into that 350 scale USS Enterprise with the "BEEHIVE" island let me know it's from Mini Hobby Models (cheapo-Trumpeter) If anyone needs anything I can makea run this Saturday.

Hey, Joe (someone should make that into a song ... )
I don't think you can get the discount on line, might want to check w/Whiskey on that one. However, I was able to get deals for Sabot & Viper29ca during the last 1/2 off sale. If you can calculate surface shipping from NC, USA and time is not an issue, I'll gladly pick up some kits for you. Give me a shout.

At least you guys get to see the new stuff. We have a couple of guys in our neck of the woods who make it there business to be there when the doors open to nearly every hobby lobby in the area and clean them out. It's hard to get anything new for months. I may never see the Academy CH-46's or the Acc.Min B-25G's to name a few. They will buy them up for the next couple of sales, and then they will most likely be "resold" at local shows for a decent profit. Sorry about the minor venting. Just wish everyone could get a chance and not just a limited few.

I've not seen an M-1 at Hobby Lobby save for the Hobby Craft one I picked up at the last sale. Went in today looking and hoping they'd have a good one or even better an M-60 with reactive armor but no dice. Instead I picked up a Sherman and (the only) King Tiger they had and a Hobby Craft humvee that the girl screwed up on and only charged me $2 for. lol Spent $44 and walked away with all three, will keep looking to see what else they may come out with this week.

There's not a lot armor wise at the two closest to me at work and home, a couple of hanomags and kommanderwagon's, a couple of willy's jeeps (which I think I may pick one up) and Bradley's. I did see a Panther too but didn't pick it up. If someone really needs something let me know and I'll see what I can find.

Anyone finding the new Tamiya Challenger or the Japanese wheeled vehicle on the shelves yet?

How about the Type 90 modern Japanese MBT?

If any of those are available, would anyone lucky enough to live near a HL ( I'm in Vermont 300+miles from the nearest) be interested in picking them up for me?

Also any Trumpeter Hinds or Hips, or does HL not carry Trumpter?

MLD- I'll be checking my HL today at lunch. If I spot any of the above I'll let you know. I shipped the NX-01 to Sabot in MA fo 8.00 USD, so shipping on a smaller kit ought to be cheaper.

I'm going to stop by on the way home to two HL's by me, there wasn't much in the one by work today. As a matter of fact the only thing they had was a couple of Panther's but I did find a Technical on sale for $2!

Tam 1:72 F-51D (Korea), Bf109E Trop.

I have just returned from our local Hobby Lobby empy handed. Same stock they always have. They don't seem to be getting any of the new things that the other posts are indicating. Oh well.

Although I was tempted to purchase many kits, I showed some restraint and only purchased two. I bought the M4 Sherman with the 105mm gun to put on the back of my Dragon Wagon. I am mostly an armor builder but I could not resist picking up the Academy 1/32nd scale F-18C for $40.00. It was originally $114.00 but was on the clearance shelf for $76.00. I then got 50% off of that. A very good find even if I say so myself.

Two Tam T55s

Bought a 1/48th Thunderbolt, 1/35 Humvee and German infantry figure set all Tamiya. I saw a couple of other things I might go back for today. (I don't really need more kits I have about 100 or more unbuilt).

However 50% off is a nice incentive
