Whilst browsing my local, poorly stocked model shop yesterday I came across Airfix's 60th D-day anniversary set in 1/72 scale.
The only picture I can find on the web is as follows..
http://www.hannants.co.uk/search/?FULL=AX10300
but its doesnt show whats included and doesnt do it justice.
There are at least (IIRC) 9 separate builds including armour, guns, aircraft and bunkers as well as 100 plus figures, allied and axis. On top of that theres 13 paints and brushes etc and all for under £25UK!!!
The box is MASSIVE!
If you want to introduce anyone to the hobby, take a look at this beauty.
If anyone can find a better link then please post.
Cheers
david

I've heard that this is chocked full of Airfix's old armor kits. They were actually 1/76 scale and many of them are quite poor compared to today's standards. While they did have a few gems in their line, the vast majority are not that great.

I've seen that set regularly half price in Woolworths stores. Worth checking before you buy!!
