I used Bare Metal Foil (Matte Aluminum) on my 107mm mortar for the Incoming Campaign and it worked great. The problem is it's not dull enough and even after burnishing, which did dull it a bit, it's still a little too bright for my liking.
I'm thinking dull coat may work, but if that's applied and doesn't work, I think I will have eliminated some other options......I'm open to suggestions.....what do you all think? Thanks!

11Charlie,
I've used Humbrol matt coat on aluminium foil used in making a watering can and a shovel and it helped take the sheen off. The aluminium I used came off a baking tray so it was slightly thicker than the normal cooking aluminium tray but just as shiny.
I've also painted the cooking aluminium foil with Tamiya Matt Aluminium and it works too although its still a bit shinnier vs the Humbrol matt coat.
