Question for Jim,
Is there a feature within this particular website engine that one member can "ping" or get the attention of another member if both on onsite?
Just curious. If it is possible, might be useful.

Ron,
Well, if you send a private message to a user while they are online, the next time they change pages on the site the "Mail Call" sound will go off alerting them they have a message. That is if they have their sound on. Of course I run with sound off all the time and I notice the little stamp flashing red so that kind of works too.
Cheers,
Jim

Ron good question ...........Jim good answer
...and Ron, with Jim's answer, if the modeler you PM has
his sound on, in your PM you can just tell him to log in
to The Mess Hall for a chat and look for his ID to appear
in the Chatter Box ...........and have your discussion

Cool, I wasn't sure how long it took for a PM to hit the site.
Thanks, Jim & Ralph

It happened to me plus many others that it took days to notice the PM red light.
Of course, I know where to check that now but it may be hard to spot at the first time.(Not that I had a better place to suggest ) I have the message sound off as well.
A few times Anders and I went straight to MSN messenger because of the laggy chat room. I donīt know if it was temporary lag or what.
